In partnership with Compass Community Health, HVG will have access to their greenhouse for seasonal and out of season planting. We welcome greenhouse enthusiasts to volunteer.

This season at Compass Greenhouse, in partnership with Hamilton Victory Gardens, has been highly productive. Throughout the winter, we successfully harvested cabbage, kale, carrots, and peas, providing fresh, nutritious produce even in the colder months.

As summer rolled in, our focus shifted to tomatoes and peppers, which have thrived under our care. The greenhouse has been bustling with activity, and it’s been rewarding to see our efforts translate into such a successful harvest.

Beyond the harvest, Compass Greenhouse has played a crucial role in aiding food security for our community. By providing a consistent supply of fresh produce, we are helping to ensure that everyone has access to healthy food options. Additionally, we’ve been running gardening and mindfulness groups within the greenhouse, fostering a sense of community and well-being while teaching valuable skills and promoting mental health.

Working with Hamilton Victory Gardens has been integral to our achievements, and we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Compass Greenhouse continues to be a reliable source of fresh produce for our community, and we’re looking forward to what the next season will bring.
